Yup, that's the idea............

Hi! So if you saw the last post,
North Downs Training Run, I mentioned that it was a training run. Although it's just a training run, don't get me wrong, it's still a feat in its own! Well this is what's it's a training run for......... the JOGLE Ultra 4. So what the 'donkey' is that?! (Substitute 'donkey' with whatever word you find suitable).....

Time to break it down. Well
JOGLE (which you may be familiar with) is usually a journey between John o' Groats and Land's End. Basically the north-east corner of the UK to the south-east corner of the UK.

Sign post at Jon o'Groats (showing Land's End 874 [miles])

Can't wait to see this one! The sign post at Land's End.

Well that's the JOGLE part. The '4' is that I'll be doing the distance via the 4 highest peaks in each of the four countries that make up the UK. Ben Nevis in Scotland, Slieve Donard in Northern Ireland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales.

The Ultra part I've used due to the fact that I'll be doing it solo, unsupported and in winter. This means everything I need, tents, food, sleeping bag, etc., will be carried on my back. There are multiple aspects to this that will make it a world first! The target is to do it in 23 days but I've put a month aside for unforeseen circumstances like the weather! It would be about 50 miles a day.

That's the overall brief picture. We'll delve deeper over the next couple of weeks!

More details soon. Cheers for now.
