Shooting Gear....

Posted by Adam Wade on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, In : Gear and Equipment

Full set up ready for shooting.

Finally it is here. And, to your relief another post not about running. I’ve been asked and been threatening to put up a post about my current equipment for filming for a couple of weeks. Before we get into the details I just want to point out a few things. Bear in mind that I’ve had to go for equipment that keeps everything as light as possible for every gram I add to my backpack adds up! Don’t laugh, some people are so obsessed and dedicated to keeping t...

Comfortably Numb....

Posted by Adam Wade on Friday, June 20, 2014, In : Random Ramblings

Hey there. I wasn't going to put up a blog post for at least another few days, well here's another post.... Why you may ask? I'm busy writing a proposal for potential sponsors as I can't fund the next (big) event after the
MAY WAY series so I need sponsors! While rummaging through old material I came across this gem from about 5 years ago. I'm glad to see my core values have not wavered and I still stand by them. Well here it is....

"We, as humans, unlike other animals, have over the millennia...

St. Swithun's Way - Aftermath....

Posted by Adam Wade on Thursday, June 19, 2014, In : MAY WAY series

So here we are. 1 of 3 challenges down, St. Swithun’s Way. It truly left me with a lot to think about….

Wow, was I happy to get home, shower, eat and have a beer. It felt great to be out the rain. The leg muscles were surprisingly good for how under trained I was. Some joints on the other hand were shouting in protest. Hmmm, maybe my shoes aren’t 100% for my running gait. So here we are, at the final post of three on the run. Should have missed out on the two previous dispatches I’ve made it ever so simple for you to navigate! For the first one click here and for the second, it’s here. Right, now that we’re all up to speed let’s trudge on with the mud and rain and a bit more mud and rain in case there wasn’t enough…….

Now that a large portion of unforgiving-on-the-knees tarmac was out the way I was looking forward to getting onto the unforgivin...

St. Swithun's Way - Onwards!

Posted by Adam Wade on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, In : MAY WAY series

Good day all! So, if you missed the first blog on the St. Swithun's Way challenge head on over here. If you caught that one then read on amigo……

Winchester Cathedral is an amazing, grey monolith of a building that draws the eyes to the scatterings of intricate stone work. Amazing to think of the age of the building and then think that this building was not built but crafted by true artisans. Let’s not forget that it predates power tools and machinery by a fair number of years.

Now t...

St. Swithun's Way - Getting to the Cathedral

Posted by Adam Wade on Friday, June 6, 2014, In : MAY WAY series

Good day all! Now that the muscles and joints have recovered I've had a bit of time to reflect on St. Swithun's Way. It turned out to be hellishly more difficult than I had anticipated. Luckily I only found out while I was actually under way. If I had known before I might have been a bit more apprehensive, especially doing it in the rain, and after there had also been a decent amount of that life giving force...
